Answer

Video Insight does support audio recording from cameras. Depending on the client used, live audio and the exporting of recorded audio may be supported.

 

Case 1. VI Monitor Plus - Live, playback, and exporting of audio is supported.

Caseï¼’. VI Web Client - Live and playback of audio is not supported. Exporting of audio is supported.

Case 3. VI Mobile App - Audio functions are not supported.

 

Confirmed at least as of VI version 7.9.x
