How do I upgrade VI Monitor Plus?

Answer

VI Monitor Plus can be upgraded either automatically via a VI Server download, or manually by retrieving the installation files from the VI website.


Case 1. Automatic Upgrade

  1. When VI Monitor Plus connects to an IP Server with a newer version, an “Upgrade Software” prompt will appear.

  2. Click “Upgrade” to begin the installation and upgrade of VI Monitor Plus.

Case ２. Manual Upgrade

  1. If by chance the Automatic Upgrade fails, or a manual installation of the software must be executed by an Admin level user, then download the install file from the following site:
    http://downloadvi.com/

  2. After logging in, select the VI version required and download the VI Monitor Plus Installer.

  3. VI Monitor Plus can now be manually installed.
