It’s common practice to add Network Video Recorders to the ASM software. This FAQ fill focus on the NVR’s, but it's possible to add i-PRO Cameras and Encoders directly to the software as well.
1. Launch and login into WVASM300’s “Operation Software”
2. Access the Setting menu.
3. Select the Device Setup menu, then click Device Setup again.
For an existing system, avoid using the options Initial Setup and Advanced Setup. These options can lead to unintentional changes in your configuration.
4. Click the Add button to bring up the Device Registration menu
5. Fill out the following details in the Device Registration menu:
Device Type: Recorder (unless you’re registering a different device)
Address: Enter the IP address of the NVR
Username and Password: Enter the Admin login credentials of the NVR
Port Number: Enter the HTTP port number of the NVR (default is 80)
Then click Download of Device Information to retrieve details from the NVR.
6. If the registered information is correct, you will receive a confirmation of the information download, and the details will populate below.
Title the NVR accordingly. It will be displayed in the software’s device tree.
Then click Set to save configuration.
7. Going back to the Operation Window, the Device Tree will now be populated with the registered device.
