The IP Server Manager (IPSM) is used to manage and troubleshoot advanced server settings. It is installed at the same time as IP Server, and provides access to many necessary administrative functions:

  • Monitors the IP Server and presents visual status cues for each server.

  • Provides a Diagnostic version of the IP Server Manager for troubleshooting and system optimization.

  • Manages IP Server network connections.

  • Manages licensing and registration.

  • Manages Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Active Directory configuration.

The IPSM icon resides in the Windows System Tray. It has two states:

ON: IP Server is functioning properly, streaming video to clients, recording video and reporting to Health Monitor Cloud (if configured).

Hover the mouse cursor over the icon in the taskbar to view the server’s IP Address.

OFF: IP Server is not functioning. No video recording or streaming available.

To access the IP Server options menu, right-click on the IPSM icon:

  • Server Configuration - Opens the IP Server Manager console to access administrative options and functions.

  • Restart IP Server - Restarts IP Server service after being paused.

  • Start IP Server - Starts IP Server service after being stopped.

  • Stop IP Server - Stops IP Server service for maintenance or configuration.

  • Exit IP Server Manager - Terminates the IPSM application and removes the icon from the Windows System Tray.

  • About - Shows version information and legal contents.

Terminating the application prevents clients from remotely restarting the IP Server service.
