The Video Insight Enterprise Suite consists in three main components used to manage live and recorded video:

IP Server

IP Server is the hub of the Video Insight IP Video Management Software (VMS). It supports over 4,100 different camera models from 150 different camera manufacturers. It runs as a Windows service and supports both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows environments.

IP Server connects directly to the cameras and can record video locally or write directly to NAS or SAN devices.

VI MonitorPlus

VI MonitorPlus is an Enterprise VMS Client that allows centralized IP camera viewing and management from any server within an organization or multiple locations.

It features a centralized management and configuration interface for an extended range of video monitoring resources, designed to meet System and Security Administrators’ needs.

VI MonitorPlus receives video from the server in the camera’s native format, which is an operation that does not impact CPU usage as video decompression would.

VI MonitorPlus automatically installs itself during the default installation of IP Server. Optionally, the client can be installed on computers without IP Server functionality.

It is bundled with an enterprise-level Access Control platform known as MonitorCast at no additional cost, offering seamless integration with VI MonitorPlus for enhanced, unified functionality.

Web Client

Web Client accesses IP Server via Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) hosted on the same server as the IP Server. It currently supports HTML5-compatible browsers such as: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 11+, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

The Web Client can access and manage Live and Recorded video as well as Facility Maps; it can also create Clips and Download Recorded video.

Unlike VI Monitor Plus, Web Client connects directly to the cameras to view live video.

Other Components

VI MonitorPlus for Mac

VI Monitor for Mac has been produced to satisfy the increasing demand for a Client that works with IP Server on the MacOS, allowing to view live video, create clips and download recorded video from the Windows-based operating system.
With an intuitive and user-friendly interface, combined with the ease of access to retrieve recorded video, VI Monitor for Mac has evolved into a robust, feature-packed VMS Client. The latest version supports Multiplex Video Clipping and basic Access Control Door views.

VI Mobile

VI Mobile is a free app available in the App Store for iOS users and Google Play for Android users. VI Mobile gives users access to live and recorded video as well as access to Facility Maps via any compatible mobile device.
