Open VI MonitorPlus.
Go to Help > About.
Note the version number of IP Server / VI MonitorPlus in use.
Go to www.DownloadVI.com and find the matching version number of IP Server.
Download the matching version of IP Server / VI MonitorPlus.
Save the downloaded file to a safe location. (i.e.: a USB drive, a NAS device, another server, etc.).
Open the system's Start menu and select Run.
Type: services.msc
Locate "Microsoft SQL service".
Right-click and select Stop.
Browse to My Computer > Local Disk C > Program Files > Microsoft SQL Server > MSSQL.1 > MSSQL > DATA
Copy Insightent.mdf and Insightent_log.ldf
Save these files to a safe location. (i.e.: a USB drive, a NAS device, another server, etc.).
Return to the system's Start menu and select Run.
Type: regedit
In the new window that appears, browse to HKLM > Software > Video Insight.
Right-click the Video Insight folder and select Export.
Save this file to the same location as the other files listed above.
