Facility Maps can be added and configured through the AC Manager. Then it can be added to the Dashboard of the Web Client.

  1. Right-click on the MonitorCast icon located in the System Tray, and click "Open AC Server Manager"

  2. Click "Open AC Server Manager"

  3. In the AC Server Manager, click "Facility Map"

  4. In the top left of the Facility Map Setup window, click on the "+" to create a new Map

  5. Type name for the Map next to Map Name

  6. In the top right. you can click on the "Load" button to add in a Map image

  7. Once a Map has been added, click Save

  • On the setup menu, once you have a Map loaded, you can expand the Controllers listed on the left side of the setup menu and you'll find the different readers you have added into MC. Just like in VI, you can drag and drop these doors on to the map. You also have the ability to add Monitor Points, Control Points, and Links to other Maps (MONCAST-557).

  • In the Facility Maps Setup window, you'll see a checkbox at the top, next to the name, to "Set Area." The area it's referencing is for anti-passback areas you have previously created. If you check this box, all it does is add the ability to pull up the map from the APB menu.

  1. To create a custom dashboard in MonitorCast, go to Dashboard > Custom Dashboard

  2. Once it loads, you can use the "+" tab on the left side of the page to add in the Facility Map

  3. Select Facility Maps

    1. Once selected, it adds a widget to the Dashboard displaying the first Map in alphanumeric order. You can change it by clicking on the drop-down box in the top left of the widget.

  4. Once you finish creating the custom Dashboard, make sure to save it via the Edit menu tab on the left side of the Dashboard
