Before updating VI and all of its components, refer to the Admin Guide for backing up the IP Server Registry Keys and SQL database files, under the SERVER BACKUP AND RESTORE section.
Request a download code by clicking the link, “Click here to request download code,” directly under the Download Code entry box (if you have a download code – enter your download code to login and skip to step 6)
Fill out the information and be sure to use a company email address
Copy and save download code for your records to gain access to download site in the future
You can change the version of software you’d like to download by clicking the arrow in the “Previous Versions” drop-down box (the box is located at the bottom of the IP Server column)
NOTE only versions listed are available to downloadUnder Suite Installers download Complete DVD x64 to install to the server Refer to the section with the desired software version (Ex. Video Insight v7.9.5.248)
Download IP Server Complete DVD x64 to the IP Server (x86 has a physical limit of 4GB RAM and is for a 32-bit OS)
To update VI Monitor Plus clients only, download VI MonitorPlus x64 (this will install ONLY the VI Monitor Plus application) Once installed Installer x64Once the Complete DVD has downloaded, unzip the file to a folder
Run the Setup as an administrator
Choose the upgrade Upgrade option
The installer will prompt you to reboot the device once the installation has completed
When the reboot is finished, you will need to run the VI Monitor Plus application as an Administrator
